Projector vs Reflector

The next time you encounter a person that is quick to condemn your opinions, instead of feeling the need to play the part of a mirror, reflecting back to them how they are presenting themselves, understand that you are, first and foremost, a blank screen for their own biases beaming onto you. There is no need to switch your position from screen to mirror if you perceive that the audience only has the capacity to play the role of the critic.
